More information on the arrests in Riga

Hi Riga Rooster. I have been covering this story on my new blog Baltic Visitor. There have been numerous informative comments posted, including ones by Joachim Neumann (who wrote the Riga Case site to which you link). The various posts and comments are linked to in the most recent post on the subject.

Four of the men remain within Latvia awaiting trial, although they are no longer in prison. The charge is desecration of the Latvian flag, which carries a maximum sentence of 6 years in jail. I will be following the story as it progresses, and am now in contact with one of the three men who were released without charge.

BTW, I have been enjoying your blog and have now added it to my blogroll.
